Expressionist teak sculpture of kneeling man

This great, unusual, sculpture probably dates from the 1960s or 1970s and is made of teak, a tropical hardwood that was commonly used in that period. It's not clear where it came from, but possibly Denmark, where a lot of teak sculptures were produced. It shows a very muscular man leaning against some sort of tree stump. It's is highly stylised with exaggerated muscles, very rudimentary facial features and, unusually, his legs cut off just below the knee. This abstract, expressionist sculpture has a great presence. The man appears to be some sort of athlete. Who the artists is is not known but the work shares some similarities with work by artists like Henry Moore especially in how its head is much smaller than expected, so potentially it could have been influenced by him.

The item about 28cm high and in great vintage condition.
